About The Event

Join the YMCA Safe Place Services and the Coastlove Upstream Program as we work to create a safe peaceful space for residents, clients, and staff of the Safe Place campus while providing habitat for pollinators and wildlife, reducing urban heat, and beautifying the area.

We will be planting trees, and shrubs, and using shovels and other tools. Please wear closed-toed shoes and prepare to get dirty. We will have a guest speaker ready to share her knowledge of native vegetation and the importance of green spaces. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

  • You must RSVP to attend.
  • All planting supplies and water will be provided.
  • Be sure to bring your reusable bottle to refill. Thank you for helping us avoid using single-use plastic.
