About The Event
Camp Sawyer is 9 beachfront acres in the Florida Keys that allow youth to explore and experience nature and habitat for coastal birds, butterflies, threatened species, and many other animals. Additionally, planting native trees and dune vegetation will not only help protect Camp Sawyer from increasingly stronger storms but also the surrounding island communities.
We will be outdoors planting trees, and walking on uneven surfaces. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes.
All planting supplies and water will be provided. Be sure to bring your reusable bottle to refill. Thank you for helping us make this a plastic-free event.
What to Bring:
- Sun protection
- Bug spray and/or wear long sleeves and pants
- Closed-toed shoes are required
- Reusable water bottle
- A SMILE
Thank you to our partners, Sea Trees for helping us make this project possible.
