Nov 15, 2025, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, 4020 Virginia Beach Dr, Miami, FL 33149, USA

About The Event

This historic park holds an important place in Miami’s history, as it was the only beach designated for African Americans during segregation. It hosted family reunions, dances, and community gatherings. Today, it remains a vital green space, offering recreation while helping to combat urban heat and the effects of climate change.

This will be a two-phase project.

🌿 Phase One: Removing invasive plants to make way for native vegetation that will protect the dune system, increase biodiversity, and strengthen Miami’s coastal resilience.

🌱 Phase Two: Planting phase will take place on November 22, 2025.

A huge thank-you to our partner, Seatrees, for their continued support in helping us restore and protect coastal ecosystems like HVKBP.
